Here’s a bag that I designed for the lovely Go Short Film Festival in the Netherlands which is happening from the 14th - 18th March.
“I’d never go out with
anyone shorter than me”
I was dead pleased with that. They’re showing my Sigur Ros film in the music competition too.
Just back from Annecy which was brilliant as usual. Here’s my film that was in competition in the shorts selection way back in 2008. I’m working on my new film now; really hope to see it there next year!
On Sunday I’m going to Annecy for the International Animation Festival! I will be there all week with the boys from Holbrooks Films who have their lovely Nike Film in the commercials competition! Come say hello. We will probably be in the Munich or Captain Pub! :)
Peter Peel got into Rooftop Films: a festival for underground films, outdoors. Very excited about this because I think I will actually be in New York to see some of the other screenings and it sounds like a brilliant way to spend an evening to me! Click here for more info! Peter Peel is on the 20th May!
Interesting fact for you: If Peter Peel had been able to continue stacking his cans at the rate he was back in June 2010 (that’s 12 cans a minute) he would, by now, have constructed a tower taller than the Empire State building - the tallest building in New York City (and New York State if I’m not mistaken!).
Here’s the fancy synopsis they wrote:
The drudgery of the stock clerk’s day is perfectly encapsulated, in this cheerfully wan vignette.
Shirley must have left in the night; when I woke it was to find the bed empty. The floor was littered with packets of sugar.
I’ve actually been in Nijmegen for the GoShort International Film Festival because I was invited to be part of the jury. It was fun and interesting to describe why I liked films a little more in-depth than just saying they are really good and then drawing a picture of Rango.
The animation category was my favourite and we selected The External World as the winner so well done to David O’Reilly :) I just read this post on his blog which is worth a read if you’re into creative inspiration!
Thank you to Mylène, Kirsten, Lisa and Wouter for having me/looking after me :)
I’m going to be going to Nijmegen (that’s in the Netherlands) this month to be a jury member for the GoShort International Film Festival! I’ve never been to the Netherlands or been on a film jury before; am looking forward to it - Ik denk het pret zal zijn.
Above is an example of my judging ability so far. Note the red pen: serious business.
